Just WOW!

This works on almost ANY head capable of having a phone plugged into (Wired-CarPlay or Android Auto)

I have spent 4 months working on getting this combo spot on! I have tried almost all the mainstream units, cable combinations, output resolutions, connection protocols, and custom launchers. The list goes on; apart from their marketing budgets, they can't touch this regarding operability and stability. Some models chase newer, faster hardware that wasn't intended for this, isn't supported, and then fumble even with the video streaming CODEC handling, let alone holding a fast and stable wireless phone connection!

If none of that makes any sense, don't worry - I have ingested everything there is to know, and as a result - this kit is the only thing you need to know! I have specified the exact specifications of this unit; I have even crafted profiles and backgrounds to add to this if you intend to bring a Nova Launcher interface onto the unit and customise every aspect of the look and feel. I can even support getting this branded with your business logos - don't forget this sends everything to your Digidash too - it can also be cast to any other devices in the vehicle! I can send movies to my projector unit from this! I don't even have to unplug it! Great if you have a basic monitor setup elsewhere in the van or RV - you can send the signal to anything with a Chromecast plugged into it!

I have run this permanently powered and crammed behind my dash in the hottest spots around the heating systems, and it just keeps going and connecting. It's so good - I may even bury mine in the dash and add vehicle tracking to its list of exceptional talents! But then it can also be unplugged and taken anywhere in the world as a 5G internet hotspot by simply plugging it into a power bank or any TV, and it can be used as a media stick with a fantastic voice-controlled remote! Arrgh - too many reasons to keep putting it in my suitcase or laptop bag, too! You may need to buy 2! I plugged this into my ID.3, and it supered that up too! I have it paired with my diagnostics OBD MX+ and use it in almost any vehicle as the reader on their screen. OK, I will stop now!

This Head Unit, Infotainment or Navi MiB connect-up bundle is an unparalleled way to get a synchronised feed to your head unit and digidash. Also, your head unit will be upgraded to a touchscreen Android tablet following this installation.

Once you experience how customisable and capable this unit is with native Android Apps installed, it's almost a stretch to consider using its built-in wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay capabilities - which auto-connects quickly and seamlessly if you want to keep things simple.

The unit can connect to the internet in a variety of ways:

- Through an installed data SIM and then optionally generate a hotspot to the rest of the vehicle, which is ideal for campers (Choose the connected option to include this; or

- It can pick up an existing WiFi signal, including a mobile phone hotspot - did you know you can even set that to auto-turn on the hotspot when the Bluetooth connection to the unit is made?

The unit is no shrinking violet, sporting the latest available Android OS 13, Snapdragon Qualcomm QCS6125 processor featuring an octa-core Kryo 260 CPU architecture with clock speeds of up to 2.0 GHz, 8 GB of memory / Ram, 256Gb onboard storage (Micro-SD slot expandable to 512 GB), Built-in GPS, wifi, hotspot, BT 5.0, Sim tray, miniature HDMI output with sound optional production (kills the speaker output in the Digidash which many units cant achieve).

Voice control can still be activated through the steering wheel or by being voice-activated. This unit can navigate without an internet connection if required. It can share a split screen with other apps, such as internet radio or navigation through your chosen app, such as Google Maps, Waze, Copilot, etc. It is equipped with a high-spec Bluetooth voice remote with a full-backlit keyboard and trackpad, so you can easily handle browsing or emails.

With the added benefit that this unit could easily be unplugged from the vehicle and taken to another car, powered as an internet hotspot using a standard mobile phone power brick, or plugged into a TV with all services such as IPTV apps, Netflix, YouTube etc. logged in and ready to go. This is useful if you intend to power the unit full-time to utilise its location-sharing ability as a vehicle tracker. This could also be wired to a front panel switch to override power if you want to use the device as a WiFi hotspot while the media unit is powered down. Otherwise, the unit would be charged using the CarPlay Android Auto connection.
