VW Digital Dash Compatibility: Which DigiDash Fits Your VW?

Our VW digital dash, the DigiDash, fits the Transporter T5, T5.1, T6 and T6.1, the Crafter and MAN TGE, three generations of Caddy and a handful of cars. Which one fits comes down to your model and its year, and the table below matches each to the right product page.

To be clear from the start: the Everest VW DigiDash is a replacement digital instrument cluster. It replaces the clocks behind your steering wheel, not your stereo.

If your van sits on a boundary year, or you simply aren't sure, don't guess. Check the year on your V5C or send us a photo of your current clocks, and we'll confirm the right kit before you order.

What a DigiDash virtual cockpit is (and what it isn't)

A DigiDash is a digital instrument cluster, sometimes called a virtual cockpit. It replaces the analogue dials behind your steering wheel with a 1920x720 HD screen, a choice of layouts and full vehicle data.

It isn't a plug-in screen adapter for your stereo. Ours swaps out your clocks, not your radio.

Every DigiDash we sell uses your vehicle's original cluster circuit board, moved across into the new unit. That's why your mileage, service intervals and warning notifications carry over, and why the van stays immobiliser-validated. Fitting is plug and play, with no wire cutting and no coding, and it's fully reversible.

How to tell which one you have

For most vehicles the year settles it. Where the year ranges meet or overlap, here's what to do.

T5 or T5.1?

Our T5 DigiDash is listed for 2003 to 2015 and our T5.1 DigiDash for 2010 to 2015. If your van is from 2003 to 2009, the T5 listing is the one that covers it.

Those ranges overlap from 2010 to 2015, so the year alone won't settle it for a van built in that window. Check your V5C year or send us a photo of your current clocks, and we'll tell you which one matches.

T5 owners should also look at the T5 DigiDash relay kit. It turns the T5 door signal into a positive trigger so the DigiDash starts as a door opens, which the T5 can't do on its own. Our T5 vs T5.1 digital dash guide goes through both in more detail.

T6 or T6.1?

The T6 DigiDash covers 2015 to 2020 and the T6.1 DigiDash covers 2020 to 2025. A 2020 van sits right on the line between the two, and 2015 also appears in the T5 and T5.1 listings.

Crafter, MAN TGE or Grand California

Caddy

There are three Caddy units: 2004 to 2010, 2010 to 2015 and 2015 to 2020. Vans from 2010 or 2015 fall on a boundary, so check your V5C year or send us a photo of your current clocks.

Whichever Caddy you have, a VW Caddy digital dash works just like the Transporter units: your original board moves across, so mileage and service data carry over. Our VW Caddy digital dash guide explains all three.

Golf Mk6

For a Mk6 Golf digital dash, the Golf Mk6 DigiDash covers 2008 to 2014 cars. It uses the same approach as our van units, with the original circuit board moved into the new cluster, plug and play and fully reversible.

Other cars

The Passat B6, Scirocco, Audi TT and Skoda Yeti each have their own unit, listed in the table. The same rule applies: if the year is borderline, send us a photo.

What to check before you order (besides the year)

• Menu controls. You move through the DigiDash menus with the multi-function steering wheel buttons, and our advanced firmware also supports right-hand stalk controls. If you have neither, add the DigiDash remote controller, which works with every Everest VW DigiDash in any vehicle.
• Your head unit. Maps and media can show in the centre of the DigiDash when it's paired with a compatible head unit, such as the DUDU7 Android head unit, or with our Android AI Box. The AI Box needs a head unit with wired CarPlay or Android Auto; wireless-only units aren't supported.
• Who fits it. You can fit it yourself with our guide and videos, or choose Supply & Fitting and let Antony do it.

Supply only or fitted?

Every DigiDash comes Supply Only or with Supply & Fitting. In the box you get the dash unit, trim tools and Torx drivers, the wiring harness, zip ties and links to our fitting and settings videos.

Antony has fitted hundreds of upgrades in Transporters, Crafters and Caddys. He fits at our workshops in St Neots and Welford, or at your address on the UK mainland, with travel charged per mile. Can I use a DigiDash listed for a different model?

Order the unit listed for your model and years. Each product page shows the vehicles and years it's made for. If your vehicle isn't clear-cut, ask us before ordering.

Will a DigiDash keep my mileage?

Yes. Your original cluster circuit board moves into the DigiDash, so mileage, service intervals and notifications are kept.

Does it need coding?

No. It's plug and play with no wire cutting and no coding, and it's fully reversible.

My van has no steering wheel buttons. Can I still have one?

Yes. Add the DigiDash remote controller and fit its receiver, and you can run every menu from the remote.

Is it guaranteed?
